Illinois – Day 1

Hello there! Lousy night sleep! At home, Smoki sleeps (her choice) in the laundry room. She doesn’t sleep all night or gets us really early. Both happened last. Hope we can get her in a routine. We left Illinois and realized that our ciphering was wrong and we had to travel 425 miles with two traffic jams. Well we made it to just north of St Paul, Missouri. It’s a KOA that is not full and we are right next to the dog park!! The dogs were wonderful especially since one of our gas stops had a dog park. We changed drivers and the dogs had some exercise.
The scenery was beautiful, still some corn fields but they were placed in between the trees, not just miles snd miles of corn.

Sorry for you non dog people, but most of our life centers around our canine family. If you wish to be removed please let me know. Hopefully the travel logs will be more about the areas we visit.we were starting to panic because we couldn’t find any campgrounds for Labor Day weekend. Finally found a private one at $33 a night! Bingo. Yea for us. Hope it is nice but “con hombre no aye mal pan”! Or something like that.
